Fresh off the success of his mesmerising and much adored remix of Above & Beyond’s ‘We Are All We Need’, our very own homegrown talent Praveen Achary yet again is back on what he does foremost. A splendid deep and progressive take on a brand new release with the firmly rising Pune based Shrinivas Sundar aka Color Ray. It’s a remix for the ever profound Greek artist Ziger’s newest production ‘Razor’ that will be released on Achary’s own label Juicebox Music.
The debut collaboration between the Indian artists have resulted in a number that is one of the best pieces of deep progressive we’ve heard lately. In their transformation a sublime bassline kicks in right from the start while the early breakdown is simply enough to set the vibes anywhere the rework would be played. Color Ray and Praveen Achary bring the best of their expertise to the table with winding counter-melodies that are elegantly layered over a slinking groove. The prime essence of ‘Razor’ is kept intact as it keeps tipping in along the long way as the remix takes an another-level direction.
Intrinsic melodies accompanied by even higher atmospheric sounds take form of a second breakdown that’ll leave any quality dance music fan in ultimate pleasure. Color Ray and Praveen Achary’s remix of Ziger’s ‘Razor’ lands along with the original and a remix from Simos Tagias on November 30th on Beatport. Make sure you put your hands on this one!
