Avicii recently released, “Wake Me Up,” the lead single from his forthcoming studio album and expectations of his new sound have been set in aimed in the directions of various genres tastes, but before fans get their first official, mastered and packaged taste of #TRUEthere is another flavorful record that deserves stateside recognition.

In April, it had been reported that Avicii was spending studio time with legendary Swedish musicians, ABBA, and their collaboration served as the theme of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest last month.

“This is a lot of fun and very inspiring”, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus said in a joint statement.

“Martin Österdahl and show producer Christer Björkman presented us beautifully with SVT’s vision for the contest. This led us on to the assignment to collaborate with Avicii on a piece on mutual understanding and fellowship”.

According to the official Eurovision website, the song was the main theme of the music extravaganza and was also the anthem performed as the grand opening act of the final.

It wasn’t only the Abba members that were beaming with the opportunity.

“To experience the union of two of Sweden’s biggest musical exports and the collaboration between generations is extremely exciting”, Ash Pournouri, executive producer for Avicii, said in a statement.

Encompassing European nations, North America missed the track’s debut, but the final cut, which came from Avicii, ex-ABBA members Björn and Benny (B&B), and a full-blown choir, has been released as “We Write The Story” and is available via iTunes.
