Veteran German producer Moguai has come full circle. Twelve years after launching his Punx label in the vinyl-centric era, Andre Tegeler has joined hands with Spinnin’ Records to resurrect his noted imprint in a spanking new digital form. After gracing some of dance music’s finest labels – including mau5trap and Size – in interim, it’s only fitting that the boss himself should be showcased in the relaunched imprint’s first release.

Moguai certainly has not disappointed with “PunkOmat”, an electro-influenced peak-time offering that sports sterling sound design on its marching lead synth line and masterful layering on its gigantic builds. The production is among a rare breed that can fit seamlessly into a modern big room set while maintaining a distinct sound of itself.
