Tiësto premieres remix of Icona Pop’s ‘I Love It’ ahead of June 18th release

The legendary Tiësto is well on his way to the release of his upcoming compilation, Club Life Volume 3, after releasing his incredible collaboration with Kyler England and previewing three more of his collaborations with Dyro, DJ Punish & MOTi respectively all in the past month.

Next in line comes his remix of Icona Pop’s chart-topping “I Love It,” igniting anthemic flare and providing Stockholm with airwave appeal. Icona Pop’s “I Love It” dominated dance floors last year with its defiantly joyous chorus and an all-out commitment to total fun, but for Tiësto, the party isn’t over just yet. As the DJ and producer was curating his upcoming Club Life – Volume Three Stockholm, he was particularly struck by the Swedish duo’s empowering anthem and went to work on his own vision for the track.

“I really liked the song from the first time I heard it”, Tiësto said. “The girls are from Stockholm, so I felt the special connection to make this track for the compilation”. Despite his love for the original, Tiësto gave the song a new flavor with a big overhaul. “I completely changed the melody of the track”, he says. “It’s an entirely new bassline, melody and a different drop. The drop is very old school Tiësto, it’s very melodic and it goes off”.

Serving as the follow up to Miami, the latest instalment of the Club Life has Tiësto‘s rendition of “I Love It” to match popular remixes of its predecessor such as “Paradise” and “Somebody That I Used To Know.”

Club Life – Volume Three Stockholm will be released digitally on June 18th and physically on June 25th. Head over to Rolling Stone for the world premiere of  Tij’s take on Icona Pop’s smash hit now!
