Microsoft and OneBeat release first-ever dance music app on Xbox 360

OneBeat, the leading media and entertainment company dedicated to the electronic dance music culture, has released the first dance music centric entertainment application exclusively on Microsoft’s XBOX 360 . The app is a one-stop portal for dance music lovers and launches with an array of content and programming that immerses users deep into the lifestyle surrounding dance music through the eyes of DJs, festivals, fashion, dancers, travel and fans that make up the global whirlpool. In June, the app will add live streaming performances, event calendars and ticket sales to the mix.

OneBeat’s broadcast-quality content includes eleven original shows; DJ Answers, You Should Know Me By Now, On Tour, Them-antics, On The Record, This is my Life, Road Trippin’, EXPOSED, Keep It Movin’, GoGo Tales and Club King. The move brings dance music to an entirely new market and expands its global reach.

“The EDM movement has revolutionized in the past couple of years, making it one of the largest communities of millennial influencers in the market today”, said Mikhail Lapushner, CEO of OneBeat. “The OneBeat Xbox 360 app brings exclusive, premier EDM content to one of the largest-scale entertainment channels with millions of highly engaged users, providing more accessibility to this demographic and culture than ever before. We are thrilled about what this means for fans, talent and advertisers around the world”.

The ad-supported app is now available for download to Xbox LIVE Gold members in the U.S., U.K., and Canada at no additional cost.
