If trolling was an art, Deadmau5 would be Van Gogh. As news feeds with Deadmau5 taking digs at the “EDM industry” keep piling up, another one adds to the heap with a troll track “Carbon Copy Cookie Cutter” produced by the DJ, meant to be a parody to mainstream and commercial electronic music.
Joel Zimmerman is inarguably as big a troll as he is a musical genius. This time, he’s combined both his talents to come up with a parody track titled ‘Carbon Copy Cookie Cutter’ or simply ‘carbon cookie’ that mimics the monotonous big house tunes thrown around. His attempt to produce a track with generics builds and drops was quite successful with this one but as strange as it comes off, it’s not that bad a track.
Carbon Cookie was made available to mau5’s fans after plenty of social media teasing and was finally released as a free download. “Of course, i dont have the balls to sell this to you”, the DJ tweeted in reply to a fan.
making some incredibly cheesy shit for lols.
