Preview: Simon Patterson ft Jordan Suckley – Vanilla
Simon Patterson can be clearly described as a visionary when it comes to dance music. Famed for 11 consecutive #1’s on Beatport as well as all other reputable stores, his records have a strict fan following especially when it comes to the underground.
With a style described as cutting edge, dark, driving, pulsating, Simon’s technical ability is a finely tuned art that fuses trance with elements of techno and electronica.
Here’s a banger preview that he dropped on the fifth installment of his radio show “Open Up“. Its a collab with fellow UK trance dj and Spinnin’ Records signee, Jordan Suckley.
Now this one’s a major banger. Its got that characteristic “Bang your fist and rage” bassline and heavy stabbing drum beats. TIll it suddenly drops into a breakbeat bridge, with a beautifully melodic and subtle riff, which picks up really well for quite a while and while youre rising up with it, it suddenly drops back into that really heavy, grimey bassline thatll hit you in the face like a brick on a cold winter morning.
A beyond perfect dancefloor banger that could shake an entire arena.
Out on 1st April 2013 on Spinnin’ Record’s sub label, Reset.
