What So Not - Divide & Conquer [EP]

What So Not has undergone major changes over the past year, and ever since the departure of Flume from the highly exciting act, bass music fans were left feeling anxious about what the future of WSN holds. After the world was finally treated to the highly awaited Gemini EP late last year, the now-solo project of Chris Emerson is back with a massive new EP.

Titled “Divide And Conquer”,  the 7-track EP is an exemplary showcase of the Aussie act’s impressive production skills. And with guest features from the likes of George Maple, Ganz, and more, it definitely packs a lethal punch. A masterclass in sound design and remarkable complexity, the extensive offering kicks off with the heavy title track which is followed by a somber interlude which further delves into previously released tracks, “Lone” and “Buried”. Collaborations like “Montreal” and “Trust” with Kimbra and BURNS respectively take listeners to higher grounds which individually prove to be two solid productions.

As Chris bids “Adieu” in fine fashion, the EP boasts of a major underlining fact which ultimately indicates the future of the solo project and how he is armed to take listeners to a multitude of sonic boundaries!
