Almost every musician dreams of getting on a bus which takes him around the country, stopping at places to perform, jamming sessions en route and conversations about music flowing all around. When Red Bull Tour Bus was started 3 years ago, that was the concept its creators worked on. It is exactly like it sounds, plus it transforms into a mindblowing stage when the musicians stop to perform.
This year, the part stage, part tour bus kicks of the festival season with its 3rd edition at Hindu Gymkhana in Mumbai on October 16. Having covered more than 60,000 km, the Red Bull Tour Bus has entertained more than 250,000 crazy fans all over India. With a few bumps along the way (expected since you’re in a bus!), the Tour Bus has successfully established itself as a venue for fans to connect with artists without burning a hole in their pockets.
This year the line-up is as crazy as ever. The Bass Raja, Nucleya, will return to the bus to perform this year, while we also get to experience Benny Dayal‘s new outfit – the Benny Dayal Funktuation. One of the pioneers of Asian Underground music, Karsh Kale, will play atop the bus with his band Karsh Kale SoundSystem. Adding to these it will be interesting to see blues/instrumental rock band Blackstratblues and post-rock act aswekeepsearching.
