We caught up with GrooveControl‘s founder Ali Shermohamed to discuss the brand. Check it out!
TBB: How did you come up with the idea for GrooveControl?
Ali: At GrooveControl we look at our t-shirts more as a piece of art and less as apparel. I have grown up following artists like Banksy and Immortal Technique who’ve used street art and music respectively as a medium to convey their message and I feel like apparel has been my medium. The primary concept was to create art that you could wear and in most cases art that has a strong message or evokes intense emotions.
TBB: What more can fans expect in the coming time? Any new designs or products in the offing?
Ali: We’ve just released 6 new prints and will be releasing a few more in March.
TBB: If you had to describe GrooveControl, how would you describe it?
