Interview With Shaan, David Gravell And Husman

Prior to kicking off his Shaan & Friends tour with David Gravell and Husman, we had the chance to catch up with Shaan, David Gravell and Husman for an exclusive interview, talking about their first tour of India, Shaan’s upcoming performance at Tomorrowland for the second year coming and much more. Check out our interview here below!

TBB: This is the first time you both are touring India. What are your expectations from this tour?

Husman: I think it will be fantastic. If I see how interactive the Indian crowd is (saw it on the Sunburn Aftermovies), then I am really thrilled to drop some bangers.

David Gravell: Well, I think India is a country where EDM is developing very quickly if I take for example, Sunburn Festival. When we announced the Shaan & Friends tour on our social media, I received a lot of messages from people who wanted to see us perform, so my expectations are really energetic and promising.

TBBShaan, you revealed that you’ll be premiering your collaboration with Husman on this tour. Can you tell us something about this collaboration?

Shaan & Husman: Well, we started to talk about a collaboration after a idea form the management side. Shaan received a fantastic vocal, what was the trigger for us to contact the management again and really make this collaboration happen. We think that if we are combining our sounds something great will happen. How it sounds, that’s something you can experience during our Shaan & Friends tour.

TBB: How does the rest of 2015 look for the three of you?

Husman: A lot of new music is coming up from my side, like some banger remixes and collaborations. With the release of the new music, we will see how 2015 is developing for me in a positive way.

David Gravell: I just released my first vocal track, so that is really special for me. Also, a lot of things are happening at the moment, some things are still a big secret and music wise I can tell you all that there are some new originals that are coming up and some massive remixes. That said, a few days ago I announced my upcoming Australia tour and that is something that I’m really looking forward to.

Shaan: For 2015, I have a lot of new music finished, and we’ll be sending that out to a few major labels. Which labels, that’s still a secret, but during this Shaan & Friends tour I will premiere a few.  We are also going to present a brand new Shaan brand, so that is something I am really looking forward to.

TBB: Shaan, you’re playing at Tomorrowland for the second year running. How does it feel to represent India at the world’s biggest dance music festival?

Shaan: It’s always an honour to represent my country at such a large stage, they people have always supported me and pushed me to be the best, so I just feel this is me giving back to them for all the love they have given me over the years.

TBB: You were recently interviewed by Armin van Buuren himself during #ASOTFESTASIA. How did it feel like to be interviewed by the legend himself?

Shaan: I was overwhelmed the entire time before and after! It was a crazy feeling and an even-crazier experience, to be interviewed by someone who I’ve always looked up to!

TBB: You’ve mentioned that the Mumbai show will be your birthday gig. What can fans expect from the Mumbai gig?

Shaan:  *laughing* That is a secret. My birthday gigs have always been amazing and different, we transform the club to look completely different and that creates a whole new experience!

TBB: If given the chance, which one artist would you love to collaborate with?

Husman: Dyro, because his sound & productions skills are unparalleled in the EDM scene.

David Gravell: Headhunterz, because he has the same creative mind and vision that I share about the EDM scene.

Shaan: W&W, because they inspired me from the beginning of the EDM scene

TBB: What are you guys looking forward to the most here in India?

Husman: First and foremost I can’t wait to play the gigs I have lined up, also the country I am really interested in, for sure I want to see the Taj Mahal.

David Gravell: Meeting the Singh family and dancing on Bollywood music.
