After getting two massive remix treatments from Maya Jane Coles and Flume, Sam Smith’s hit single ‘Lay Me Down’ has now received an unexpected house remix by none other than Dutch superstar Tiësto. Standing out as a departure from his typical big room anthems of recent times, Tiesto’s adaptation of the original with piano riffs rolling and vocals of the track, certainly matches to his remix of John Legend’s ‘All of Me’ – which won him a Grammy Award this year.

Comparatively mellow with the chewy future house bass line perfected by an electronic ambience without losing the original aesthetic of the track, this rework of ‘Lay Me Down’ by Tiesto clearly stands out from most of his other work.
