There is good news for Flume fans following the heartbreaking news of his departure from What So Not. Flume and Chet Faker have been nominated for ‘Dance Work of the Year’ for their famous collaboration “Drop The Game” at the 2015 APRA (Australian Performing Right Association) Music Awards. It was released on 18 November 2013 by Future Classic from their EP, Lockjaw. The song peaked at number 18 on the ARIA Singles Chart and was certified Platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association for shipments exceeding 70,000 copies. It was voted number 5 on radio station Triple J’s Hottest 100 of 2013.

The APRA, which originated in 1982, annually honors the best Australian tracks and songwriters including AC/DC’s classic “Highway To Hell”, which won the gold award in the very first APRA ceremony. Drop the Game is a slow-moving, head-bopping, thump of an electronic anthem. that wonderfully incorporates Faker’s luscious vocal prowess, while allowing Flume to generate his distinctive swishing synths. The awards are set to take place Tuesday March, 24.
