Armada launches brand new label and announces re-branding of 2 sub labels

Giant of the giants, Armada Music was founded in June, 2003 by Armin van Buuren, Maykel Piron and David Lewis, whose names collectively formed the title ‘ArMaDa’. Widely known for the releases in the genres of: trance, house, progressive, techno, deep house, and pop music, from 2009-2013, the Dutch label retained the position of ‘Best Global Dance Label’ at the prestigious International Dance Music Awards, Miami.

Home for some of the biggest names in the dance music industry like Dash Berlin, W&W, Aly & Fila, Cosmic Gate, and (of course) Master Armin van Buuren himself, the huge label house still adds prominent talents to the Armada artist roster; some of them being David Gravell, Audien, KRONO, and Andrew Rayel.

The label has just gone public and to add a little worthy spunk, it’s proclaimed two re-branded flagship labels: Armada Captivating, and Armada Trice, and a totally brand new label Armada Deep. Fresh artworks and a renewed batch of upcoming releases will be all over Armada with these labels representing different core concepts that are and have been a part of Armada Music.

It’s been reported that some former sub-labels will be dropped, and others will remain. ‘Captivating Sounds’ will now be known as ‘Armada Captivating’ focusing on the young talents who will bring the new sound of today and tomorrow. TRICE Recordings as ‘Armada Trice’ will encapsulate the blurring lines between sharp grooves and radio-friendly anthems and all the warm sounds and melodic drops.

Whereas significantly, the former smaller units like ‘Electronic Elements’, ‘Black Book Audio’, and ‘M Recordings’ will now be falling under one big label: ‘Armada Deep’, bringing you the very best deep house music.

I am super proud of the Armada brand. Due to the digital age we currently live in, it makes sense to operate with fewer imprints and communicate Armada in a broader way. Obviously we will also remain focused on artist labels like, among others, Armind and ASOT, Future Sound of Egypt, Mainstage, and Aropa.” said CEO Maykel Piron.

The first releases from these labels are currently in pre-order and will be available on September 1st. Now check the previews of debut singles from new labels below.
