Every once in a while there comes a time, when the support of each and every single fan can make a difference for the greater good. Now, Ultra Music Festival is one such organisation that requires your support.

Since its inception, way back in 1999, UMF has amassed millions of attendees from all over the globe in Miami, thereby making the City Of Miami’s place as one of the worlds epicenters for electronic music, concrete. UMF also contributed a large amoung to the city’s economy, close to almost $223 million, in 2013 alone.

Apart from being one of the world’s leading properties in outdoor entertainment, Ultra Music Festival has been a launch pad for a number of prominent musicians, from every genre and sub genre of electronic music. Some of today’s biggest artists, once performed at a side stage at Ultra.

All of this is now in danger, as certain high-ranking officials from the City Of Miami have called for an end to the Festival taking place in its current home of Bayfront Park in Miami. Ultra has, in recent times, had to deal with a few isolated, untoward incidents, and certain politicians have cited these incidents to belittle electronic music and its industry.

Ultra Music Festival, does everything it can in its power to work closely with every branch of the municipal authorities to ensure the safety and security of everyone at the event. This year, event organizers and the City of Miami jointly agreed to deploy 257 police officers per day, 49 more per day than in 2013, including the following:- The deployment of 28 additional police officers per day around the perimeter and inside the event; – The deployment of 18 undercover detail officers, including Homeland Security and DEA officers; – The deployment of 12 additional bike detail officers per day; and – The deployment of “G8” (8 foot, high-level security) steel fencing surrounding the venue, which was further supplemented by additional chain link fencing and police barricades surrounding the venue. Ultra Music Festival is conducting a top-to-bottom review of its security protocol and continues its long-standing commitment to the security and safety of its patrons and personnel.

However, all of this could come to an end unless you lend your support. Show your support now by signing a petition for Ultra Music Festival and for it to stay in its hometown of Miami.
