Fans of "Twin Peaks" will soon have the opportunity to experience Fire Walk with Me in stunning 4K UHD as it joins the Criterion Collection’s offerings. This 1992 film by David Lynch, which was previously made available on Blu-ray and DVD in 2017, was restored from a 4K digital source that Lynch himself supervised and approved. After an eight-year wait, viewers can finally enjoy the film in 4K resolution. The 4K UHD version of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me is set to release on October 7 and is currently available for pre-order on Amazon for $50.
It’s worth noting that some enthusiasts may have recently acquired a box set including Fire Walk with Me or picked up Criterion’s standard Blu-ray version, now discounted to $20 from its original $40. Earlier this year, Paramount re-released the highly sought-after Twin Peaks: From Z to A box set. This collection includes all three television seasons, the prequel movie Fire Walk with Me in 1080p, and additional bonus content spread over 21 discs. It’s available for $55, reduced from $70 on Amazon. The set also features 4K versions of the Twin Peaks Pilot and Season 3, Episode 8, but only offers Fire Walk with Me in standard Blu-ray.
