Qulinez – Archangel (Original Mix)

Quilnez- Archangel (Original Mix)

Only a short while ago, there was a time when Swedish Powerhouse, Quilnez were toddlers of the dance music scene sending off their single “Troll” to Steve Angello. A lot has changed since then, a lot being one after the other numerous hits for the duo including the crazy “Noise” as their break away hit.

Now making way to a brand new single titled ‘Archangel’ a new historic moment is in the making for the incredible twosome. Now a well-respected name in Swedish dance music, Qulinez gives us “Archangel” off Wall Recordings that oozes with their ever present heavy-handed style. Having a knack for memorable melodies, the song builds on a spacey progression of thick chords. The drop, comprised of heavy, pitched bleeps could only be complimented by the harder-hitting thump of the mix’s heavily layered and festival-ready kick.

Watch This: Size TV brings out Episode 6!

Size TV returns once again, armed with a fresh new episode giving fans a chance to look behind the scenes at the inner workings of the Size camp and its burgeoning roster.

Episode 6 starts out by joining Steve Angello in his home studio as he experiments with his vintage synths and stacks of hardware. Extolling the virtues of analog equipment and its tangible qualities, an idea that is increasingly rare in modern day electronic music, Angello gives an insight into his deep understanding and passion for dance music of all kinds and his commitment to the music he makes. Cutting between Angello on the road in Brazil and Qulinez at home in Sweden, it paints a picture of both the international nature of the Size family and the importance of Angello’s mentorship to the acts on the label.

Steve Angello – Yeah

Pete Tong just premiered this track on his latest Radio One Show by including it as part of the Essential New Tune section. “Yeah” was also first heard by us as part of Swedish House Mafia set from their historic show at Madison Square Garden in December 2011.

Steve Angello has been working on this track for a long time and now admits “it’s finally time to let it go, and put it out there”

The build up towards the drop in “Yeah” strongly reminds you of one of the biggest festival anthems – Nari and Milani’s “Atom”.  You then get transported to a progressive house tune that has strong elements of a rock influence in it.

It’s great to see that Steve’s record label Size Records has really raised the level of music in the past couple of months. There seems to be no stopping them even after releasing many hits like “Troll”, “H8ers” and the recent club banger “People of The Night” this year.

Steve has this unique gift of not only making exceptional music under his label but also finding the future upcoming prodigies who would be defining the music scene for years to come.  As EDM lovers, we just hope that he keeps discovering talent like Third Party, AN21, Max Vangeli and Qulinez.

“Yeah” is set for a release on September 29th. As for now, we just can’t wait for it to be blasted all over Central Park when Steve Angello takes over this venue for his upcoming gig “Size In The Park” later this month.
