One of the most disappointing news for any music lover is to see any DJ being asked to stop in the middle of their set and eventually being led away from the DJ booth. Well this is exactly what happened when one of our team members had gone to see the iconic DJ Shadow play at the Mansion nightclub in South Beach Miami on December 14^th, 2012.

Apparently the promoter of the club felt that Josh Davis a.k.a DJ Shadow was “Too Futuristic” with his music that was being played as part of his set. The reaction to such an appalling act has been tremendous ever since the incident took place.

With so much public dismay on social media forums, the Mansion nightclub issued a public apology “We offer our most sincere apologies to DJ Shadow and his fans for his set being cut short at Mansion this past weekend. This error should not have happened again, especially as we pride ourselves on creating an environment that cultivates and respects innovators such as DJ Shadow. We have learned a lot from this error and made changes within our organization to ensure that Mansion’s vision, and the visitors of our guests, will never be compromised again.”

We here at Bangin Beats salute DJ Shadow for holding his pride. This was clearly shown by a tweet sent out later from the man himself – “I don’t care if I get kicked out of every rich kid club on the planet. I will never sacrifice my integrity as a DJ…ever #AllBassesCovered

To support his stand, he later on released his entire set from that night which he has smartly named “The Infamous South Beach Set, December 2012”
