Armin van Buuren to incorporate Google+ hangouts into live events
Iconic dutch trance titan, Armin van Buuren will be the first ever dance music artist to incorporate Google‘s superb Google+ Hangouts into live events.
You heard that right, it seems that the man behind A State Of Trance is looking to get one step closer to world domination by video chatting with fans during his live shows. It’s also said that fan interaction will occur during his A State Of Trance 600 ‘Expedition’ world tour, and the genius will be the first artist to have done anything on this level.
Eight of the twelve shows will be broadcasted live and will give doting fans the chance to video chat via Google+ Hangouts with Armin, Markus Schulz, Dash Berlin, W&W and other DJs alongside witnessing a stream of the live show.
Armin van Buuren in respect to his video chat concept has said, “On my Google+ page, I’ve got over a million fans and that number is only growing. Through the Google+ Hangouts, I’m hoping to take the radio show to the next level and make it even more interactive for the fans. Every week, more than twenty million people tune into my show, so for these special live shows I’d like to take it one step further. Via the Google+ Hangouts, I can turn the listeners into viewers and offer them a front row seat.”

Mark Sherry – Trailblazer (Original Mix)
One of the biggest DJ’s to come from Scotland – Mark Sherry has almost become a household name these days.
After the huge success of his previous release ‘My Love’ on Simon Patterson’s ‘Night Vision’ label, Mark decides to drop the tempo a little and serves us up with an electro influenced anthem called ‘Trailblazer’.
The track has already gained support from some of the biggest DJs on the planet and has had airplay on Radio 1 and A State of Trance
The powerful bass seems to tie so well with Marks use of percussion and in turn really emphasizes that catchy lead that he has created. As the track continues through the break with some excellent chord progression its slowly begins to build again until the drop where that awesome bass accompanied by the melody kick back in.
All in all “Trailblazer” is definitely one of those tracks that will undoubtedly send the dance floor into frenzy.

A State Of Trance Top 20 Of 2012
The much awaited A State Of Trance Top 20 tracks of 2012 has been released and we have Gareth Emery taking away the plaudits with his track “Concrete Angel” taking away the first spot.
Looking at the big picture – this track has clearly shown how the year of 2012 has been for the EDM music fraternity. No matter how much you deny it, but having a mainstream influence in your track will certainly add towards the beauty of the tune. Essentially, “Concrete Angel” is how a perfect trance track is being heavily supported by a strong set of emotional vocals.
We have British singer-songwriter Christina Novelli whose honest vocals are a fine juxtapose to the vibrant and upbeat beats of Emery. As far as trance music goes, the nineties will surely be seen as the genre’s decade but what Gareth Emery has done in “Concrete Angel” is reinvent the genre with the addition of Novelli.
My take away on all of this is that pop music fans will pick out the well-crafted musical harmonies of the track whilst the more niche dance music fans will be rejoicing the uplifting melodies of trance music that will once again be defining the EDM scene next year as well!
On another note, the top 20 list of has a couple of Armin Van Buuren’s big hits from earlier this year as well. We have his collaborations with Ana Criado “I’ll Listen” and “Suddenly Summers” at number 2 and 6 respectively. There is special recognition for the likes of Omnia and Ira, Aly and Fila, Paul Van Dyk, and Markus Schulz, W and W, Solarstone, and many others making the list as well.
