Preorder Now: Nightmare On Elm Street 7-Film 4K Blu-Ray Collection Released!

The eagerly anticipated 7-Film Steelbook Library Collection of A Nightmare on Elm Street was quickly snapped up when Amazon began accepting preorders for the exclusive $175 set on June 11. This rapid sellout, while expected, was a letdown for the horror series’ dedicated followers, especially since this collection upgrades six films from the franchise to 4K Blu-ray for the first time. Fortunately, there is also a standard edition of the collection launching on September 30, which will be available alongside the still unavailable Steelbook Library Collection.

Fans of Freddy Krueger can now place preorders for the A Nightmare on Elm Street: 7-Film Collection on 4K Blu-ray, priced at $105 on Amazon.

Exclusive Amazon Steelbook Library Collections

Amazon has been releasing a series of collector’s edition 4K box sets exclusively. This initiative began with the Sean Connery James Bond Steelbook Library Collection in June. Following that, in July, Amazon announced additional Steelbook Library Collections, including The Dark Knight Trilogy and the Superman 5-Film Collection. As of now, all four collections have sold out, but only the Elm Street set suggests a possible restock:

• A Nightmare on Elm Street: 7-Film Collection — $175 | September 30
• The Dark Knight Trilogy — $130 | September 16
• Superman 5-Film Collection — $130 | September 2
• 007: James Bond – Sean Connery 6-Film Collection — $140

It is expected that these movies will also be available in standalone 4K editions after their respective collection releases, similar to the Sean Connery James Bond films. Previously unavailable in 4K Blu-ray, Connery’s Bond films, similar to Elm Street, also have a standard edition priced at $105. By the end of July, it was announced that the classic 007 films would be sold individually starting September 23. Even if the same occurs with Elm Street, the $105 collection will likely remain a more economical choice, as buying the Bond films individually would cost $70 more than the set price, with each priced between $25-$30.

Despite the sold-out status of the Library Collections, Amazon continues to offer several other new and upcoming exclusive 4K Blu-ray sets and movies. These include Limited Edition Steelbook versions of Halloween and Halloween II in 4K Blu-ray, both launching on September 16.
