Describing the track, PinkPantheress shared that “Stateside” holds a special place as her favorite track on Fancy That. She noted, “This song reflects my evolution as an artist,” and expressed her hope that her audience will enjoy the track as much as she does.
The full mixtape, Fancy That, is scheduled to be released on May 9. PinkPantheress previously released the lead single “Tonight” earlier in the month. The production of the new mixtape saw collaborations with several producers including Aksel Arvid, Count Baldor, Phil, Oscar Scheller, and the Dare.
