For enthusiasts of Hot Wheels, construction toy sets, and automobiles, the newly launched line of replica vehicle models is a must-see while supplies last. Released on August 1, these are the inaugural offerings from the toy company’s Brick Shop brand. Similar to well-known brands like Lego and Mega Bloks (which is a part of Mattel), these Hot Wheels Brick Shop sets are assembled using various brick shapes and sizes. While Mega Bloks’ versions are more whimsical and aimed at younger kids, the Brick Shop kits by Mattel cater to collectors and car aficionados with a penchant for authentic replicas of famous cars such as the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL, Corvette Grand Sport, Cadillac Project GTP Hypercar, and Maserati MC20. Each model in the Brick Shop collection features parts that are compatible with other major brands including Lego and Mega Bloks.

The Hot Wheels sets from Brick Shop are divided into three different series, each offering a higher degree of premium features and customization. The Speed Series ($20) represents the entry-level category with models consisting of around 250-300 pieces each, allowing for the creation of a customizable 1:32 scale sports or race car. The Elite Series ($54) steps up the authenticity and customization options, incorporating metal parts and significantly more pieces to construct detailed 1:16 scale models. The Premium Series ($130) currently includes only the Mercedes-Benz model, which boasts nearly double the number of pieces compared to the Elite Series builds and results in a detailed 1:12 scale model.
