Vanessa Bendetti, who leads Motion Picture and Entertainment at Kodak, commented on the significance of this award season for film and independent cinema. She highlighted that productions shot on film garnered twenty-nine Oscar nominations this year, including for Best Picture contenders like ‘Anora,’ ‘The Brutalist,’ and ‘I’m Still Here.’ She expressed excitement about celebrating some of the year’s most acclaimed films and filmmakers at Kodak’s intimate awards gathering.

This award season saw numerous films shot on Kodak film stock, including “A Different Man,” “Anora,” “The Brutalist,” “Challengers,” “I’m Not a Robot,” “I’m Still Here,” “Nosferatu,” “Queer,” and “Sing Sing.”

Crawley, who previously clinched the award for best cinematography in a feature film at the British Society of Cinematographers, notably employed VistaVision for “The Brutalist.” He discussed the benefits of this choice, explaining, “Using a larger format allows you to avoid wider angle lenses for a broader field of view, giving you more flexibility in how you frame your shots.”
