New Album Collaboration Between PartyNextDoor and Drake
Renowned Canadian artists, PartyNextDoor and Drake, are set to captivate their fans with a new album titled $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, scheduled for release on Valentine’s Day, February 14. The artists have shared a teaser video to build excitement for the upcoming project.
The professional bond between Drake and PartyNextDoor dates back to 2013, starting with Drake’s appearance on the track “Over Here” from PartyNextDoor. This collaboration was the genesis of many more joint efforts including hits like “Own It,” “Recognize,” “Preach,” and “Loyal.”
Recent and Upcoming Projects
In October 2023, Drake unveiled his latest solo project, For All the Dogs. The upcoming release, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, marks Drake’s third substantial collaborative album, following his successful partnerships on What a Time to Be Alive with Future, and Her Loss with 21 Savage. Additionally, Drake is preparing for a tour across Australia and New Zealand later this month.
PartyNextDoor made a comeback last year with his album PartyNextDoor 4 (P4), his first release since the 2020 Partymobile. This album also returned to the self-titled format he last used in 2016’s PartyNextDoor 3 (P3).
Grammy Night and Legal Actions
While neither Drake nor PartyNextDoor attended the 2025 Grammy Awards, their indirect influence was noted. Kendrick Lamar’s track “Not Like Us,” which targets the artists from October’s Very Own, won five Grammy awards. In response, Drake is currently pursuing a defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group, the label responsible for the song.
This combination of new music and ongoing legal drama ensures that both artists remain in the public eye as they continue to shape their musical legacies and confront new challenges.
