Alien: Rogue Incursion - Part One: Evolved Edition Exclusive Gameplay Trailer Shows Off the 'Deadlier Xenomorphs' in 60 FPS | SDCC 2025

Recently released footage, embedded below, is rife with scenes of blood-soaked snow and features multiple Xenomorphs menacing the protagonist, former Colonial Marine Zula Hendricks. This preview teases the intense and thrilling sequences to come, complete with familiar elements like Pulse Rifles, Motion Trackers, sudden frights, and much more.

Regarding the plot, for those unfamiliar with Alien: Rogue Incursion since its initial release on PlayStation VR2 and PCVR through Steam in December 2024, followed by a release on Meta Quest in February, the game unfolds on the desolate planet Purdan (LV-354) at the Gemini Exoplanet Solutions’ Castor’s Cradle research facility. The story is strategically placed in the timeline between the events of Alien and Aliens, with Zula joined by a Synthetic ally named Davis 01.

This latest version retains all the content from the original while introducing “enhanced visuals, more immersive environments, and even more lethal Xenomorphs.” It also operates at 60 FPS and is touted as the “next step in the evolution of Alien warfare.”

In our critique of the original Alien: Rogue Incursion, we noted it as “a genuine and captivating venture into the Alien universe through virtual reality. The gripping narrative, authentically recreated Alien settings, and eerie Xenomorph encounters ensure a terrifying experience throughout its eight-hour run, despite the occasional repetitive combat, predictable AI, and sporadic glitches that betray its initial iteration roots.

“However, there’s substantial potential for growth in this nascent series, yet I am already keen to endorse Rogue Incursion as a solid foundational work for both Alien aficionados and novices. It has certainly set the stage for an anticipated sequel.”

As for the upcoming Part Two, details are sparse, but it is confirmed to be in the works and will “escalate Zula’s narrative, facing her with more formidable foes and tougher scenarios.”
