Super Smash Bros. Competitor Lands 10-Day Winning Streak on Jeopardy — Earning $262,101 So Far

Scott Riccardi: Jeopardy’s Newest Star and Super Smash Bros. Enthusiast

Jeopardy has recently celebrated a new champion, Scott Riccardi, who impressively maintained his winning streak for ten consecutive days on the popular quiz show. Adding an interesting layer to his profile, Riccardi is also an active participant in the Super Smash Bros. gaming community online. Let’s give a big cheer for Scott!

So far, Riccardi has gathered a remarkable total of $262,101 in winnings during his ongoing streak, showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. He set a new record for the most consecutive wins in the show’s 41st season when he reached his ninth win on July 15, outpacing his competitors considerably.

In addition to his trivia skills, Riccardi is known in the gaming world under his alias Biscotto. He competes regularly in Super Smash Bros. tournaments, with his latest competition being featured on YouTube just four months ago. Although he hasn’t clinched titles at major tournaments, Eventhubs.com confirms that he continues to compete actively.

Interestingly, Riccardi’s earnings from Jeopardy have now surpassed those of Super Smash Bros. legend LG|MkLeo by a significant $100,000 margin.

Before achieving his current ten-day victory stretch on Jeopardy, Riccardi defeated Laura Faddah, the previous eight-day champion. Prior to that, only three contestants had managed to reach a six-day streak since the season began in September 2024.

Riccardi now joins the exclusive group of 18 contestants who have lasted ten days on Jeopardy. To carve his name into the all-time leaderboard, however, he needs to continue his winning streak for at least another week. If he can extend his streak to 17 days, he will displace Ryan Long from the top 10, who currently holds a record of 16 days. Nonetheless, surpassing Ken Jennings’ extraordinary 74-game record remains a formidable challenge.

Regardless of whether Riccardi reaches the pinnacle of Jeopardy fame like Jennings, he’s certainly making a splash in both the trivia and gaming worlds. And, there will be plenty more opportunities for Super Smash Bros. battles once his Jeopardy journey concludes.
