Calvin Harris, Skrillex, Hardwell & Many More Pay Tribute To Avicii

Avicii

The music industry and fans around the world were struck with a major blow last night when it came to light that Avicii had passed away. Renowned as one of modern dance music’s biggest superstars, the Swedish producer/DJ broke onto the scene with his humongous hit, ‘Levels‘ in 2011. As revealed by Tim’s publicist Diana Baron in a public statement, Avicii was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th.

While the heartbreaking news has left everyone devastated around the world, millions of people including fans and musicians have paid tribute to the iconic artist. With the likes of Calvin Harris, Skrillex, Eric Prydz, Diplo, Zedd and many more who took to social media to express their condolences, our hearts go out to Tim’s beloved family and friends.

Can’t believe this is true..my biggest inspiration and the reason why I started making electronic music. Thank you for all the joy you brought to the world with your music. RIP @avicii

This is the crazy kid I met about a decade ago. Both of our lives spinned out of control and we didn’t get to see each other much over the passing years until recently when I got to know you not only as a friend but as one of the most fascinating and talented people I have ever met and will ever meet. Your loss can’t be described in words. I will miss you brother and I know you are watching us. You will always be in our hearts and our mind. I love you brother
