It’s been only November since Daft Punk made their last production appearance, writing and co-producing The Weeknd‘s ‘Starboy‘ and ‘I Feel It Coming‘. Come June, and one half of the famed robots is back on production duties, this time for Canadian indie rock band Arcade Fire‘s latest single ‘Everything Now‘.
Departing from the band’s multi layered sound which features a host of different instruments, the single instead adopts a disco and funk approach, with its groovy basslines and synths, accompanied by the striking piano chords and Win Butler’s epochal vocals. The production credits on the track also mentions Thomas Bangalter on synths, as well as co-producer along with Stevey Mackey.
