WMS’ DimensionRed gigs have evolved to be the redefining dance music scenario in India. With some huge acts already in their catalogue, the keepers of red have now brought two of the breathtaking acts for one night. Kaiserdisco and Ashworth are going to take deck duties tomorrow at Summer House Cafe, and just before the mighty techno and house DJs spread their groove magic over you, we bring you some insight about the prominent artists’ music.

Kaiserdisco

Frederic Berger and Patrick Buck aka Kaiserdisco have rocked right clubs, made some phenomenal remixes for acts that matter and certainly embedded their names in big festival line-ups. Their groovy tech house and infectious techno slammers are a mere hint of what their full-length DJ sets are like.

While the duo had already maintained enriching careers as individuals, it was their groovy 2010 number ‘In No One’s Shadow’ that laid the foundation of Kaiserdisco. What followed for Hamburg based duo was beginning of their own label KD Music and later the successful album “Meet Me on the Floor“.

Having made their signature style of remixes, Berger and Buck left no stone unturned and transformed originals to some of the best remixes for Robyn, Nicole Moudaber, Extrawelt, and Sébastien Léger to name a few, and retouched for Steve Lawler, Booka Shade and Marc Romboy through their “Retouched” EP.

Apart from their own high-regarded label, Kaiserdisco are regulars on big labels like Drumcode, Suara, Snatch and Get Physical, and have happened to release many bangers through them. With blazing hot releases from recent months like ‘Black Mamba’, ‘Black Light’, ‘Trinity’ and ‘Danza Danza’ to name a few, Kaiserdisco are an absolute not-to-be-missed act at the moment.

Ashworth

For London based Ashworth 2015 was the year when he actually made his mark with the release of his debut album “Grain” on Needwant. The fantastic deep house album showcased his charming style of melody, sensitivity and musical depth that’s been cleverly fused with gritty honesty of techno.

Joe’s “Rebound” EP release on the mighty Anjunadeep from last year was no less in giving him that significant break as the title number also landed on the label compilation Anjunadeep 06. His “Collapsed” EP on Pets Recording is a fair example of meticulously crafting milliseconds of audio with an experimental and melodic edge, that has lead him to formation of his own unique style of sound.

With releases on W&O Street Tracks, Holic Trax and Little Helpers in his catalogue, and receiving support from the likes of Maya Jane Coles, B-Traits, Dixon and many others, Ashworth stands at the forefront of his emerging career. His most recent “Lost” EP on Anjunadeep stands as one of the hottest releases of the label this year, giving a strong indication that it’s just the beginning for Ashworth.
