The entire dance music culture had a lot to go through when a “fan” spat on Duke Dumont while he was performing recently at Union Hall in Edmonton. One of house music’s leading figures, the “Need You (100%)” hitmaker took matter to his own hands this time around.
As the music stopped midway, Duke took the mic to express his genuine frustration saying: “I don’t get paid enough to be spat on.” Reportedly, he was also the target of intoxicated people who threw drinks at him from the upper balcony. The British DJ and producer also made sure to call out the man responsible for their disrespectful behavior saying: “If you’re brave enough, come the f*ck down to the stage. If you’re mad enough to spit, you’re mad enough to come right up here.”
While no one showed up, Duke went off stage before repeatedly apologizing to the rest of the crowd for the unfortunate turn out of events. You can have a look at the incident below.
