In what could turn out to be one of the biggest shows in India yet, Coldplay’s upcoming show in Mumbai in November will see rap and hip hop mogul Jay Z accompany the British band for their debut show in the subcontinent.
According to Mumbai daily, Mid-Day, the show will also see the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, A.R. Rahmane, Deepika Padukone, as well as the Prime Minister, CM, international dignitaries and other celebrities. According to a source of the newspaper:
Yes Coldplay is set to perform in Mumbai on November 19 at the MMRDA and the show is being put together by the Global Citizen Festival run by Chris Martin. The official tickets will go live on Book My Show on September 12 next week and prices start from Rs 25,000 to the highest category tickets at Rs 5 lakh a ticket.
Rs. 25,000 to 5 lakhs for a ticket? Yikes, that’s pretty expensive, but when you see the amount of talent at the show, it all feels pretty justified.
Jay Z and Coldplay have worked together in the past, when the rapper collaborated with the band for a new version of their single ‘Lost’, as well as having performed it live during their shows. Check out a video here below:
Stay tuned for more details.
