In a recent rise of cases of death at music festivals due to drug overdose, 5 people at a concert in Philippines met their tragic fate, with at least 2 people dying of a drug overdose.
The Closeup Forever Summer concert, which featured the likes of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Julian Jordan and more saw an attendance of around 14,000 people on 21st May, Saturday. A report from the National Bureau of Investigation said that at least two of the victims died of a drug overdose, both of them suffering “massive heart attacks”. Reports from investigators point at the the distribution of a potent drug called “green amore” that could have been responsible for the deaths of the said concert goers.
Pasay City police chief inspector Rolando Baula said, they are looking at three possible causes of death ā effects of illegal drugs, heat stroke, and poisoning, according to a CNN Philippines report.
Following the incident, Closeup released a statement on Facebook.
