Microsoft Partners With Mau5trap To Launch 'Music X Technology' Platform

In a surprising and highly ambitious move, software giant Microsoft recently stepped into the world of music with an unprecedented partnership with deadmau5 and his homegrown label mau5trap.

They kicked off the journey with their newly announced ‘Music x Technology‘ platform with a spotlight on the reputed imprint as the people went behind the scenes during the recently concluded mau5hax Bus Tour which saw the roster make stops across North America and deliver some awe-worthy performances. They also sat down with both deadmau5 and ATTLAS to discuss their life on tour and the technology they use to perform live. Moreover, the video also focuses on ATTLAS‘ latest tune ‘Aspen‘ and how it was produced using Microsoft‘s technology.

Talking about Microsoft‘s latest endeavor, ATTLAS said:

“It’s the merging of studio and performance that is the most exciting frontier,” ATTLAS says. “When you get things like Surface where you can merge these two worlds of studio and performance and turn them into this new hybrid, the benefit is for the performer, the benefit is for the listener, and it only helps music.”
