Being the world’s biggest dance music festival certainly has its perks, and one of them includes festival tickets selling like hotcakes. Belgian online newspaper, The Brussel Times recently reported that the allotted Belgian tickets for Tomorrowland were sold out in a record time of 40 minutes!
Speaking on the record sale time, Tomorrowland’s spokesperson Debby Wilmsen said:
There have never been so many Belgians interested. The quickest presale, waiting list and sales records were all beaten. As soon as the lines opened, there were already more people on the waiting list than available tickets. After 40 minutes, most of the payments and orders had been done.
The previous record was in 2014, when the tickets sold out in an hour, and 2016’s edition sees an increase of 20% interest from Belgians in the festival. The global sales for Tomorrowland will begin next Saturday, with the festival expected to attract around 180,000 visitors from the 22nd of July to 24th July.
