Chris Martin‘s unscheduled appearances in Delhi and Mumbai last year sent all the Indian Coldplay fans in a tizzy. What do you say when the front man of one of the world’s biggest bands visits India? It went on to fuel rumours of an upcoming Coldplay tour of India. Wishful thinking, huh?
However, that soon might come true. Coldplay recently released the video for their latest single ‘Hymn For The Weekend‘, which they shot in Mumbai, and featured Beyonce and Sonam Kapoor in a blink and you miss it cameo, leaving the Indian fans ecstatic. And now, in a series of tweets from the band’s former manager turned “creative director” Phil Harvey (hence the initials PH at the end), it looks like we might be able to see the British band in the country very soon.
1/3: I see Hymn for the Weekend is at No.1 on iTunes India – unbelievable!! Thank you to the people of India for making us feel so welcome…

3/3 Thank you @beyonce & @sonamakapoor for gracing the video with your angelic beauty. My new mission: bring Coldplay back to India asap. PH

Coldplay have announced shows in Latin America, Europe and North America so far, which means the Asian leg of their A Head Full Of Dreams tour still remains to be announced, and we can only hope that the band do end up announcing India as one of the countries for their Asia tour. Keeps your fingers crossed till then.
