Things are never expected, easy or conventional when it comes to Flying Lotus. Ever since his start since the early 2000s, he has been known as an experimental artist as best, experimenting with electronic music, being a DJ and rapping. The latest addition to his long list of brilliant eccentricities is his decision to give score for director Eddie Alcazar’s short film “FUCKKKYOUUU.” As is pretty evident from the name, the movie is to be watched alone, at the Sundance or with people who you’re completely comfortable sharing disturbing memories with. The soundtrack for the film was to match the sexually brutal visuals thus calling for a haunting theme over the score. By virtue of being Flying Lotus, he’s done a marvellous job at producing a score which contains ominous feeling, eerie stops and a general feeling like we’re watching the movie in the middle of a graveyard.
