It’s been a while since DJ Snake surprised quite a few of his fans by releasing something way softer than his usual trap monsters. Featuring Bipolar Sunshine, ‘Middle’ was an instant hit, with its midtempo, chilled-out vibe and silky vocals. But then, the original isn’t something you’d jump to at an EDM concert.
Enter Mija. One of the hottest stars on the OWSLA roster, Mija’s career has been on an upward journey ever since Crank It tore its way up multiple charts around the world. The OWSLA star has made Middle more club friendly by bumping up the tempo, increasing the pitch slightly and changing the drum sequence.
It might not be a massive rehaul of the original, but it’s still light on the ears. Mija’s remix for ‘Middle’ will feature on OWSLA’s upcoming Worldwide Broadcast compilation, so all you have to do is wait till January 29. Till then, listen to the remix on SoundCloud below:
