Monstercat have always found amazing underground music and brought it up for the world to listen. This time also, it’s no different. As if by magic, Monstercat have put up this delightful Topi remix of Pegboard Nerd‘s hit, ‘Downhearted‘ and it checks all the boxes in our list!
Dubstep is a genre which you can screw up easily and it takes a real master to produce dubstep remixes and Topi is no doubt such a musical master. The bass groove is not overpowering and the punches are beautifully timed and go well with the mood of the song. Topi has managed to retain the original vibe of the song while adding his bass touch subtly and with a surreal effect. Topi is the artist to watch out if he keeps on putting out good music like this.
