Beatport Announces Breakthrough Artists And Labels Of 2015

With 2015 coming to a close, everyone around the world is rounding up their favorite tracks and artists of the year. Recently, Beatport served up its annual census of the year where we find out who were the top breakthrough artists and labels. And as a major market for DJs, Beatport charts always shed light on the trends of the year.

Young UK producer Curbi appears on the list with his track Discharge doing exceptionally well amongst his other tracks like “Rubber”. One of the most iconic mysterious producers of 2015, marshmello was a no brainer on the list with his several remixes including the likes of Skrillex & Diplo and Adele. Also on the list are tropical house pioneer Thomas Jack, Alison Wonderland, Shapov, Ephwurd, Joe Stone, Ghastly & Mija amongst many more like M.E.G & N.E.R.A.K, Throttle.

As far as artist labels were concerned, Don Diablo‘s HEXAGON proved its mettle as their first release “Make Me Feel Better” owned the house charts. Other new labels like Blasterjaxx‘s Maxximize featured on the list as well with their debut release “Heartbreak” on the imprint. On the other hand, future house prince Oliver Heldens surely made it big with not only releasing tracks under his own name but under his bass house alias HI-LO and managing his budding and talented Heldeep label. Featured on the Breakthrough labels of 2015 with “Renegade Mastah“, this surely provides a perspective for greater things to come in the near future. The Belgian #1 duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike‘s label Smash The House also is a part of the list alongside Kannibalen Records, Mixmash and more.
