Soundcloud Releases New App "Pulse"

Hovering around controversy, Soundcloud has released a new app, Soundcloud Pulse dedicated to creators. The app has been released for Android users and is available on the Google Play Store. There is no confirmed date on the release of an iOS version but it may soon follow. The app focuses on helping artists upload their music on the go through their phones and cut out the hassle of carrying laptops all the time. It will also allow users to reply to comments, follow other accounts, post public and private streams, and view live play counts for their tracks. This app might actually do well considering the fact that Soundcloud puts heavy focus on Indie artists and will certainly prove useful for budding artists. Their initial offering doesn’t seem extraordinary but it is a positive for Souncloud considering their battle against Universal Music Group and Sony Music Entertainment which still continues.
