Fans suffered another setback after Steve Angello‘s debut album ” Wild Youth” which was expected to drop in April got postponed to November. And yet again it has been postponed with a new release date of January 22, 2016. The good news along with unfortunate yet optimistic confirmation of the album’s release date is the tracklist.
Angello also implied that the album would have a heavy indie influence versus the traditional pop crossover sounds. In an interview he stated –
“It’s electronic music, it’s not dance music. It’s an attempt to create a hybrid of all of the music I love and all music I have been inspired by throughout all of these years, and I have made them into songs. I am not trying to do pop. A lot of producers are trying to go towards the whole EDM/pop clash, and this is different. It’s more indie, melancholic, darker, but still some big songs.”
It has been a redefining journey for Steve Angello post the Swedish House Mafia era and he’s back to writing his own chapter, including solid productions and perfectly curated mixes. There are extremely high hopes from the SIZE Records boss man and having already released his festive anthem “Children Of The Wild” and “Wasted Love” featuring Dougy Mandagi from The Temper Trap , we surely can’t wait for his album to arrive.
