Different people like different things in the songs they listen to. For some people it might be lyrics and for some the melody – for many it is also the drop. That is probably what Michael Brun had in mind when he was remixing Brandon Flowers‘ ‘I Can Change‘. The sample from Bronski Beats‘ ‘Small Town Boy‘ is effectively used in both the songs. In I can change it has been used in the drop to amplify the effect and altogether create an atmosphere of euphoria.
