After continuously posting pictures and giving us several glimpses of his brand new studio, deadmau5 has finally unveiled a big piece of information regarding the construction work in his upcoming studio, talking about new music, and the “anti-social media” in an interview with the award-winning radio DJ Zane Lowe over Beats1.
When asked about his ‘anti-social media star’ status over Twitter, this is what Joel had to say:
Twitter, to me, it’s like a video game. You play it.
And that indeed was a brilliant answer by the mau5, because he can be seen not caring one bit about whatever he posts out there, treating it like it was just some video game he plays whenever he’s got nothing to do. Zane then moved on to talk about new music, the reply to which was somewhat disappointing to all the mau5 fans. Here’s what Joel hinted about new music:
I’m honestly not gonna lie, I haven’t really been very active with music lately. I moved into a new house in November, and a lot of that time was getting all my stuff in here and getting set up… We’re also building a new studio in here, which is about three quarters done right now… In the meantime, I’ve been cooking up some schemes for that glorious day the last nail goes in, I can get in there and get to work. It will be a very lonely winter.
So yep, we shouldn’t expect anything new in the near future. But let’s hope the mau5 returns one day with a bang! You can’t question his production skills, can you?
