There are fewer artists in the Dance Music fraternity, that garner respect and awe, as much as German legend Paul Van Dyk. The biggest DJs of today have time and again revealed how they still feel star struck in the Dance Music veteran’s presence. The legendary Politics of Dancing series envisioned by Paul Van Dyk resurfaces this month for its third edition and features some massive tunes from his own and other Progressive Trance labels. One of those is a remix by another talented producer and legend in his own right, Giuseppe Ottaviani. One half of iconic Nu NRG, Ottaviani has certainly carved an honorable position in the Dance music fraternity for himself, and his latest remix comes as a testament to his presence at the highest level.
‘Lights‘ was a melodic collaboration with Paul Van Dyk and his frequent-collaborator Sue Mclaren. After many anthems together, the duo put out ‘Lights‘ as a fitting crescendo to their body of work. Rich with Trance pads and rising synth melodies, Ottaviani keeps most elements from the original intact, including Mclaren‘s soaring vocals, but he certainly amps the Trance breakdown with added chains of his own albeit with a toe-crushing 140 BPM structure. This one is as massive as it is emotive, check out the remix below and mark your calendar dates for August 14th to grab the album.
