Even if you are a recent addition to the dance music family, you have most definitely heard this one song and we are sure of it!
Galantis i.e. Christian Karlsson and Linus Eklow’s Runaway ( U & I ) was first released in October of 2014 and since then it has been remixed by the biggest names in the industries like Dillon Francis, Ansolo, Quintino and Kaskade to name a few and still features in sets across all music festivals. Interestingly enough though, even after being so prominent in the scene for so long, the track took it’s own time to climb up the Billboard Dance / Electronic Record Charts and is now a very proud record holder. Nielsen Music reports that the track has sold 14,000 downloads. “Runaway” , nearly 40 weeks after it’s premier, now holds the record of longest climb to a top 10 position on the chart since Billboard’s Dance/Electronic chart was created in January 2013. The previous title-holder was Disclosure‘s “Latch” feat. Sam Smith, which joined the top ten after 33 weeks.
