Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs category surfaced first time in January 2013, and since then the industry top star David Guetta had failed to steal the intangible No. 1 spot. But finally the long stretch has been wrecked as his production with Nicki Minaj, ‘Hey Mama’ has finally landed him at the top. The track is surprisingly his career’s 18 times charted title, beaten only by Skrillex’s 21.
Earlier, Guetta had done well at the No. 5 spot as a guest on Rihanna’s ‘Right Now.’ ‘Hey Mama’ indicted 25% of the total 75,000 downloads sold through the tracking week that ended April 19th leading to the No.1 spot for its fourth consecutive week. David Guetta’s single with pop-star Nicki Minaj is presently lagged by Zedd and Selena Gomez’s ‘I Want You To Know’ at No.2, and Jack U and Justin Bieber’s ‘Where Are U Now’ at the No.3 spot.
