Barcelona-based label Suara has risen to the top of the house game over the past couple of years and for this we’ve to thank the strengthening control of label-chief, Coyu. The ‘Big Cat Remixed’ series from the label has already relished stellar submissions all over from Doorly to Bontan to Harry “Choo Choo” Ramirez. Fresh from being honored with Resident Advisor’s ‘Most Charted Label of the Year’ award for the second annual running, ‘The Big Cat’ is back with round three.
Though the third series as a whole is not by any means less than a wonder package with Dosem giving his personal touch to the dancefloor hit ‘Balls‘ and Mendo doing his best with a Coyu Edit from Charles Ramirez & Baum called ‘Fire Alarm‘, but one track that is definitely worth putting emphasis on is house legend Mark Knight’ re-interpretation of Suara’s anthem ‘Y.E.A.H‘ from Coyu and Ramiro Lopez.
The tech house rework by Knight arises with evocative background vocals in a belligerent fashion and will enclose the atmosphere of any dance floor when dropped right in the second half of any house set. One of the most wicked tech house reworks we’ve heard in a long time, Mark Knight’s rework of ‘Y.E.A.H‘ from Coyu and Ramiro Lopez is now available as a part of ‘The Big Cat Remixed Part 3’ EP, and you can buy it here.
