Calvin Harris, the extremely talented singer, song-writer and producer just can’t seem to steer away from controversy. The highest paid DJ as per Forbes magazine has yet again given fans something to ponder over post the release of his ‘Ultra 2015 Acapella Pack‘ . He released the songs on his Soundcloud for free download and the pack includes the vocal stems from ‘Blame’, ‘Summer’, ‘Outside’, ‘Feel So Close’ and ‘Sweet Nothing’, with ‘Feel so Close’ featuring the vocals of the man himself.
Ideally, these vocal versions are kept for remixing duties or for mashup’s during live sets. But releasing them to the world may be Calvin’s way of inviting DJ’s right from the ones in the bedroom to ones on the Mainstage to give it their own sweet spin.
The controversy that surrounds the release of this pack is the question as to why he would call it the Ultra 2015 pack when the DJ isn’t even playing Ultra this year, that being his second year in a row.
Maybe the mystery behind the name will be clarified by the producer soon. In the meantime, we can hope to see some new remixes surface after the release of the pack. Check it out now.
