What do you get when you combine a Dance Music superstar and a prodigy destined for superstardom? We’re talking about a track which features none other than Scottish Superstar Calvin Harris and upcoming Dutch prodigy Oliver Heldens on the song credits! The young and restless Heldens (Check out our interview with him from earlier this month) took it upon himself to go at one of the most beloved Progressive House productions from last year, as he remixes Harris‘ and Ellie Goulding‘s exhilarating ‘Outside‘.
The remix opens with the original vocal verse amidst the familiar groove and trickling melody. Heldens keeps it simple and puts his impetus around the break when he implements a delicious Deep House backgroove that lifts the original vocals and the violin-piano combo. Heldens keeps the original elements intact and only instills the right elements to lift the track instead of reinventing it. All the elements coalesce towards the second breakdown giving us a semblance of the holy trinity if these three artists indeed collaborate! Check out the preview below and tell us what you think!
