rudimental-confirms-new-album-news

This weekend is sure to steal our hearts with some grand performances from fine artists! The Emerge Festival is scheduled for this weekend and we can only sit and wait at the edge of our seats. Among the stellar line-up is UK’s very own Rudimental – and boy are they a quality group – collaborating and creating and experimenting with myriad styles, artists and  tunes. We searched and listed our favourite tracks by them – give it a listen and you’ll realise how daring they can be, and still excel!

1. Ed Sheeran – Bloodstream (Rudimental Remix)

Ed Sheeran and Rudimental – what more could you possibly need? The top track on our list may be just two weeks old, but it’s been quick to attract attention -and for all the right reasons! From soulful and mellow, this track becomes one that speaks to us through Rudimental’s fantastic percussion addition to Ed Sheeran’s vocals. Bloodstream is a masterpiece from beginning to end, one that frees your mind. From an adrenalin rush to a sense of euphoria, this track makes you feel so much more than you can imagine. Prepare to fade out of reality into a temporary world reigned by surging emotions and an intense experience of what it feels like to be infinite.

2. Rudimental – Free ft. Emeli Sandé & Nas (Original Mix)

What do you get when you put Emeli Sandé’s tantalizing vocals, Nas’s provoking rap and Rudimental’s skills on one track? Not only a brilliant melody and an excellent track, but Free is a song that leaves you with an altered worldview. Its credible that this track is so much more than a mere string of rhythm and tune- Free pushes you to come to terms with life but not find closure in your constricted existence in it. Rudimental, Emeli Sandé and Nas leave you longing for liberty of some sort. This track will serve as chicken soup for your soul, healing dents and bruises with its abundance of lyrical meaning.

3. Rudimental – Powerless (Original Mix)

This instant hit proved Rudimental’s prowess and dexterity. With an intro that will leave you riding the Feels Train down to the land of sublime, Becky Hill’s vocals are sure to add some faint hope, if not more into your bleakest and most dismal of days. Rudimental continues to touch hearts with their music, and use Becky Hill as a catalyst for this purpose. With a video that is as beautiful as the track, Powerless is a contrast to its name – in the sense that it is sure to infuse a considerable amount of courage and strength into your bloodstream, leaving you feeling as though you’re covered in a coat of titanium.

4. Rudimental – Feel The Love (Woz Remix. feat. Childish Gambino)

A rework of an amazing original, this minimal hip-hop track featuring Childish Gambino is proof of Rudimental’s cross-genre malleability. Although this track contains all our favourite elements from the original, Woz serves as a groove-dealer, handing over a tune that’s going to make you want to shimmy along. This spunky tune slays with its ingenuity and leaves listeners refreshed and only more in awe of Rudimental along with a growing love for Woz, John Newman and Childish Gambino.

5. Rudimental – Give You Up feat. Alex Clare

Alex Clare made headlines with Too Close back in the day, and it was reason enough for us to get excited to see his name beside Rudimental’s. Crisp vocals add to an upbeat melody riding on its use of percussion and bass, and Give You Up has its moments where it makes you shake like a headless chicken in an attempt to dance along. This track is our guilty pleasure when we want to indulge in some pure euphoria and good feelings.
